Local records

The app works without an account. Player names, handedness, experience, club and team details, training attempts, match results, venue text, notes, goals, saved boards, timer state and preferences are stored locally in the app's private storage on your device. Venue text is entered by you; the app does not obtain your device location. The app does not send these records to AlbertLab or operate a cloud synchronization service. Enter only information you are entitled to record about other people.

Collection, advertising and tracking

This version contains no enabled advertising SDK, in-app purchases, advertising identifier collection, analytics SDK or remote crash-reporting SDK. The app does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location or health services. Calculated sports statistics remain on your device. It does not collect health sensor measurements.

Export, import and sharing

You can choose to export CSV files, a JSON backup or a result summary using Android's sharing panel. Exported files may contain names, notes and other records you entered. You choose the destination and recipient. The selected app or storage provider handles that copy under its own terms and privacy policy. Import reads only the backup file you select through Android's file picker. Temporary export files are held in the app's cache. No automatic upload to AlbertLab is performed.

Google Play updates and reviews

The Android app uses Google Play's official update and review services. Google Play processes device metadata, the installed application version and installed module information to check for updates. If you choose to submit a rating or review, Google processes that content and may display it publicly with your Google Play profile; closed-test feedback is shared privately with the developer. Review submission is optional, and reviews can be managed or deleted through your Google Play account. These services use encrypted transport and Google's policies at https://policies.google.com/privacy. AlbertLab does not receive your local training records through these services. A local count of completed sessions or matches and previously attempted review prompts prevents excessive requests. Completing the review flow does not tell the app whether you left a review.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain until you delete them using an available app control, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. Android cloud backup is disabled for this app. Clearing storage or uninstalling removes the app's local records; first export anything you want to keep. Copies you previously exported are separate and must be deleted from their destinations. AlbertLab cannot restore or remotely delete local records because it does not receive them. There is no online account to delete.

External pages and support

Opening the World Curling rules, Google Play or this policy uses an external service. Those services may process standard connection information, cookies or other data under their own policies. AlbertLab's Curling Coach website is hosted on Microsoft Azure, whose infrastructure handles network information needed to deliver the page; see https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. The website has no analytics scripts, advertising or sign-up form. An earlier policy copy may remain on Google Sites. These website practices are separate from the app's local records. If you email support, AlbertLab receives your email address and any information you include and uses it to respond. Do not send unnecessary sensitive records. You may ask for deletion of support correspondence; messages needed to resolve an ongoing request or meet a legal obligation may need to be retained for that purpose.

Security

Records are stored within Android's application sandbox. Protect your device with its security features and keep exports in a safe location. Export files are not encrypted by the app, and no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Age audience

The app is intended for teenagers aged 13 and older and adults. It is not directed to children under 13. It does not operate online child accounts or collect children's records on a server.

Changes

If the app's data practices change, this policy and the relevant Google Play declarations will be updated. The effective date above identifies this policy version.
